Mrs Marie Gordon-Russell
Hello Dipa,
Sorry I haven't got back to you before.
Everything was splendid and very well organised from first contact
with yourself, the arranging of the hospital, flights and visa's,
one month including the Xmas and new year period, good going
after the email ping pong from other people!!!!!
Marie is extremely pleased with the outcome of her surgery and
has received nothing but compliments on how she looks in particular
how much weight she appears to have lost from the surgery. She
feels more confident about her appearance and this has also
altered her posture for the better.
Dr Pandya and Dr Mukund Jagannathan (Both Professor's, can you
imagine that in the U.K.) performed the operation and are extremely
professional, although they do not treat you in a condescending
manner and were at pains to ensure that Marie understood fully
about the surgery and outcome. Their post-op care was also superb
and, although back in the UK they both maintain email contact.
All the staff at Wockhardt hospital took great care to attend
to Marie's every needs. Marie has done a testimonial for the
hospital - .http://www.wockhardthospitals.net/general/pat_exp.asp
As regards the travelling everything was superb.
We stopped at Thistle Hotel, Heathrow, which has 21 nights parking
in the tariff, plus extra days at £9, and Hoppa transfer
to the terminal. BMI was a good carrier and the flight was very
enjoyable.
Dukes retreat was a good place to rest after Mumbai!!!! which
as you know is total bedlam.
We flew to Goa from Mumbai with Jet Air, who issue e tickets,
so everything can be arranged over the net.
As for Goa, what a really great place, we went to Cavelossim,
South Goa and stopped at Luisa by the Sea, individual villas
with air conditioning Cavelossim is a nice quite resort just
right for recuperation.
We loved Goa that much that we are planning to return Dec/Jan,
be a shame to waste the one year visa!!
It is best to get an Indian sim card 95IR but to get one you
need passport and passport size photo, otherwise no chance.
Thanks for everything. Your professionalism gave Marie the confidence
to commit to surgery in India., something that she would advocate
for anyone sat in a stagnant NHS waiting list.
I will let you have a photo next week.
Regards, Jim
Message to The Taj Medical Group and Wockhardt Hospital
I have been trying for six years to undergo breast reduction
in the United Kingdom. Initially I was told there was an NHS
waiting list and that was the last I heard until 18months ago
when I again visited the doctors, who confirmed in their opinion
I required a reduction.
However, after having to chase up what was happening I was eventually
informed that there was no money available in the area Health
Trust Fund covering my area and none would be available in the
foreseeable future.
I had read positive reports regarding surgery in India and researched
the possibility of undergoing the surgery there.
The cost being approximately 1/4 of that in the UK.
I chose the Wockhardt International Hospital for it's reputation
and International Patients division,(Managed by Dr Dhaval and
Mr. Anil , assisted by Mr. Bharat) which is geared specifically
to making everything run as smoothly as possible, including
arranging shopping/sightseeing travel and accommodation in India.
My partner was able to stay in the same room as me, the room
was comfortable and spacious.
I had chosen the Internationally renowned Dr. Narendra Pandya
for the surgery and the consultations, tests, etc. were all
arranged by Dr. Dhaval and his staff.
Although I was apprehensive all the hospital staff took great
pains to make me as comfortable as possible and make my stay
enjoyable.
Everybody was very attentive to my needs from both the domestic
and medical side.
The food is not a problem as you are provided with a daily menu
with options of Indian and English cuisine. Mr.Shahbuddin the
catering manager and his staff are only too willing to help
with diet.
The nursing staff are all very pleasant, attentive and ready
with a smile and words of re-assurance.
There is no language barrier and I would have no reservations
in recommending this well managed and friendly hospital to anybody
seeking surgery in India.
Thanks also to Dipa and the rest of the Team at The Taj Medical
Group for everything. Your professionalism gave Marie the confidence
to commit to surgery in India., something that she would advocate
for anyone sat in a stagnant NHS waiting list.
